退去届（Notice of intent to vacate）

来月末には新居に引っ越すため、今日、マネージャーに退去届（Notice of intent to vacate）を渡しました。

アパートのマネージャーには、いつも娘を可愛がってもらっているので、予想通り、「どうして引っ越しちゃうの？！」と引き留められました。

なので、パートナーの職場の近くに2BRのアパートを買ったことを話したら、「そうだねぇ。近い将来、娘ちゃんにも部屋が必要になるだろうからねぇ」と納得してくれました。「でも、この子が成長していくのを見ていきたかったよ」と寂しげに言われ、なんだかとても申し訳ないような気分になりました。

Re: Notice of intent to vacate

Dear （マネージャーの名前）,

This letter constitutes my written 1-month notice that we will be leaving this apartment on October 31, the end of next month.

We are leaving because we bought a condominium for giving our daughter own room.
The new address that I will be moving to is:　****************************

We expect that my total security deposit of $*** (Suite security deposit $***, Pet Security Deposit $***, Bike room key deposit $**), given to previous manager, （前任のマネージャーの名前） on （デポジットを渡した日付）, will be refunded in full, since the apartment has been left in good condition.

前住んでいたアパートは、マネージャーから退去勧告（Notice to end tenancy）をもらって引き払ったため、退去届（Notice of intent to vacate）を出していません。なので、今回が人生初の退去届です。もしかしたら、最初で最後の退去届だったのかも。（そうだといいな）
